What would Obama Do?
I am concerned for our party and our country. My primary (no pun intended) is electability, born out by the primary results. The purpose of Superdelegates is to provide political guidance. Senator Obama (a very talented, brilliant man and politician) is the wrong choice. It shows poor judgment to bow to political pressure and endorse a candidate you think has less of a chance of winning. You must stand up, show leadership and judgment, and endorse the candidate you believe in, the candidate you believe can win in November.
• Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. More people voted for her than any candidate in American history. Since February 19, when the media began to vet Senator Obama, she has won over 620,000 more votes than he has.
• She won states that represent 308 electoral votes. Obama’s wins yield only 224, not even factoring that he won states the Democrats have no chance to win in November. It takes 270 to become president.
• She won all of the big states and swing states Democrats must win in November.
• She polls ahead of Obama against McCain in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and Michigan, states critical to a Democratic victory this fall.
I urgently ask you to reconsider, and show the courage I know you have. You will have the appreciation of women and Democrats across the country. The political machine is not always right, and as these races have shown, especially since February 19, the people will speak regardless of what the media and political parties say and do.
Reason for Obama
This is why you should vote for Obama:
1. He obviously had a campaign strategy for the ENTIRE primary instead of just to Feb 5. by using the caucus states like no one else has done before.
2. He was able to raise enough money to last the compaign and is not in debt by organizing a large portion of the American people (many who have never donated ever before).
3. He was able to beat out one of the biggest names in the political world with his message and team.
What does this all mean. He will have a plan to organize millions and surround himself with a base large enough to beat John McCain and turn the nation around.
Superdelegate Vote
I urge you to vote for Clinton; do the brave thing and not follow others. Clinton has the experience and she would make a much better president than Obama. Obama is full of rock star power and does not have the substance she has to make the decisions that need to be made to turn this country around. We are in for a long hard time if Obama receives the nomination and is President and we have had enough with Bush. Most of Clinton's supporters will vote for McCain. Obama has been elected in the press and seems that is what counts.
