Fiorina angry over attacks on Palin

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina reacted angrily Tuesday to Democratic criticism of new Republican vice presidential nominee, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.

In a press release issued by the California Republican Party, Fiorina said Palin has more executive experience than Democratic presidential nominee U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and that she was appalled by attacks from the other party.

"Because of Hillary Clinton's historic run for the Presidency and the treatment she received, American women are more highly tuned than ever to recognize and decry sexism in all its forms," Fiorina said in the statement. "They will not tolerate sexist treatment of Governor Palin."

Fiorina has worked on the campaign for presumptive Republican nominee U.S. Sen. John  McCain (R-Ariz.) and is herself mentioned as a possible gubernatorial candidate in 2010.

She is also scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday, the same night Palin is set to accept her party's nomination.
