Durston airs ads attacking Lungren on the economy

Congressional challenger Bill Durston is capitalizing on voter sentiment against Wall Street bailouts in a new campaign commercial airing in the 3rd Congressional District.

In the Democratic candidate's commercial, U.S. Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Gold River) is criticized for voting against bills that would have investigated gas-price gouging and to limited payouts to CEOs.

The commercial also shows footage of Lungren making potentially damaging statements at public events, such as " I didn't run for office to do anything for you," a comment he made to a  constituent at a Fair Oaks town hall meeting in August.

"With politicians like Dan Lungren, any wonder we're in our worst economic mess since the Great Depression?" the announcer on the ad states.

Durston's campaign noted that the commercial was created before Lungren voted Monday for a $700 million Wall Street bailout package that Durston opposes. This is the third commercial Durston's campaign has aired.

A doctor from Gold River, this is Durston's second run for the seat. He lost to Lungren in 2006.

Hope the voters see this.

Some of the quotes and comments in this ad are just classic.

My favorite: "I didn't run for office to do anything for you."

If that's what Dan Lungren thinks then he better get out of that office and let someone who wants to do things for his constituents (like represent them) in!

Hope the voters see this.

Durston vs.. Lungren

Finally the chickens are coming home to roost. Dan Lungren has been exposed. Lungren votes with Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Real Estate , Big Banks..all while telling his constituents that he isn't in Congress to take care of their problems. Lungren's vote to bail out his bank buddies is nothing more than that. Check out the good Bill Durston..donate to keep the aggressive ads on TV. We must send carpetbagger Lungren back to Long Beach. Maybe he can stop feeding at the public trough and get a real job..maybe he will just go back to his Lobbying firm in Washinton DC where he spent five years soliciting his Republican buddies for favors for his own Venable LLP., where he bragged to potential clients that" he will steer them away from the landmines and directly to the gold mines on Capitol Hill..

The good people of District

The good people of District 3 need to see what Dan Lungren is really all about. He's all about representing Big Money Special Interests.

The fact that Lungren has taken over $475,000 from the Banking/Finance/Insurance/Real Estate industry over the last 3 campaign cycles says a lot about what his priorities are and who he really represents.

Finally, Durston is going on

Finally, Durston is going on the attack! Let's see more of this...

District 3 needs to know what Lungren has been doing and who he has been representing... because it sure ain't the citizens of CD-03.

Go Durston!
