Republican presidential nominee John McCain listed Meg Whitman on Friday as a possible Treasury secretary in his administration, if he's elected.
Asked by Reuters about who would run the agency that oversees U.S. economic policy and financial reserves, McCain named Whitman, a former eBay CEO, among others.
Whitman, who spoke at last month's Republican National Convention, is also thought to be a potential California gubernatorial candidate for the GOP in 2010.
McCain also mentioned Cisco Systems chief executive John Chambers - who like Whitman lives in California - and investor Warren Buffet as potential Treasury secretaries.

Ebay Economics God Help Us!
My, my, my, John McCain wants to name former eBay CEO Meg Whitman as secretary of the treasury. This is the woman that feed the eBay seller’s to death and when eBay bottomed out she quit. Years ago when I sold on eBay one of the promises was that eBay would come up with a health insurance program for their powersellers. To date no insurance, higher fees, more regulations and less sales. Yesterday eBay fired 10% of their worldwide work force. This is the last person that should be in charge of this nations economy.
