Deputy Sheriffs Association of San Diego County Endorses Marine Captain Duncan D. Hunter for Congress

LA MESA, CA -- The Deputy Sheriffs Association of San Diego County has endorsed Marine Capt. Duncan D. Hunter for Congress in the 52nd district primary.

The DSA's vice-president and PAC chairman, Ponzio Oliverio, stated in a letter that Hunter's "experience, integrity and demonstrated dedication to law enforcement," made him deserving of the endorsement.

The Deputy Sheriffs Association represents almost 3,000 law enforcement officers and officials, many of whom work and live in the 52nd Congressional district.

"Like our troops overseas, the men and women of the Deputy Sheriffs Association put their lives on the line everyday to protect our families and our freedoms," said Hunter. "They deserve our utmost respect and support."

Marine Corps Capt. Duncan D. Hunter recently returned from Afghanistan, having finished his third tour of duty in the Middle East since 2001. Hunter is a conservative Republican who gave up his career as a business analyst to join the Marines after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
