CRA holds off on endorsing recall of Schwarzenegger, will reconsider in January

ANAHEIM - The California Republican Assembly, an influential conservative grassroots organization, voted against endorsing a recall effort of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Saturday.

The group's board of directors met at the California Republican Party Convention to discuss throwing it's financial and grassroots support behind the recall effort, first championed by the California Correctional Peace Officers Association earlier this month.

The board will appoint a committee to further explore the ramifications of a recall effort. The CRA will reconvene in January and vote again on the issue.
