Mission Accomplished? Bush sewer plant measure qualifies for SF ballot in November

A couple friends thinking of a way to "memorialize" the Bush presidency have taken a whacky, beer-soaked concept from mere idea to political reality this week.

On Thursday the San Francisco Department of Elections officially certified a city ballot initiative that, if approved by voters, will rename a sewer plant in the soon-to-be ex-president's honor.

Earlier this month volunteers with the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco submitted the petition signatures of more than 11,000 San Franciscans who supported the name-change idea.

Voters on Nov. 4 will be asked this question: Should the city's Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant be officially renamed the "George W. Bush Sewer Plant?"

If the measure is approved, the name change would coincide on Jan. 20 with the inauguration of the new president. On that same day, memorial commission volunteers say they are planning to organize a "synchronized flush" citywide as a salute to the newly re-named facility.

So far, White House press representatives have continued to decline comment when asked about ballot measure which will receive its ballot letter designation from the elections department next month.

George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush lied, and thousands of people died. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.

Bush should be locked up.

Bush and the treatment plant

Its ironic how the west coast creepy left
wants to name a treatment plant after Bush,
when it was big sac Billy Clinton who lied
under oath. Maybe if Billy and the left wasnt so busy chasing the skirts we would not be having a problem with the radicals
attacking us.

I can assure you that us Left Coasters can give a flying fuck about what an East Coast Snob thinks about us. Go back to your "real life issues" you see on FAUX News, like missing white girls in Aruba, Terri Schiavo and terrorist fist-jabs.

We're simply renaming a facility that cleans up shit after a person who will leave a lot of shit to clean up when he exits office on 1/20/09; I personally can't think of a better way to remember him.

If you really don't like it, you can keep your snobby-ass off our toilets!

It's easy to see why the rest of the country laughs at those on the Left Coast. How typically sophomoric of all the hippie wannabes in your once wonderful city. What will that change? Nothing, except to reinforce the long standing belief that the bay area is full of people who can't or won't grow up. Come 01/20/09 Bush will be gone but your sewer plant will still bear his name! Um, wow? I hope you guys are happy making yourselves look like pouty, whiny fourteen year olds to the rest of the country.
