San Diego congressman denied chance to hunt for wascally wildebeests in Chad

In a move that would make most press secretaries want to fling themselves off tall buildings, a California Congressman said this week that he wanted to help the refugees pouring into Chad from war-torn Darfur by going out and doing a little big game hunting.

There were just a few problems with U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter's announced desire to shoot a wildebeest, cure its meat and then hand out the tasty morsels to the starving Darfurians at a refugee camp.

The first and foremost issue for Hunter is that there are no wildebeests in Chad.

Moreover, even if there were, Chad does not, apparently, allow big game hunting.

Oops.

Not to be deterred however, the San Diego Republican and avid longtime hunter (no pun intended) says he's still itching to get out there and kill something out in the bush.

Hunter, who will leave office at the end of this term, said he will now pursue commercial hunting expeditions in Kenya, Tanzania or Southern Africa.

Duncan Hunter .... sigh, my congressman...

This guy is about family values?

Here is a clue for the clueless Congressman Duncan Hunter, take the money for the trip and donate it to the San Diego Food Bank and be of some use to your constituents.

BTW Congressman where did you get the money for the trip. Is it money saved on property taxes?

How can we elect anyone who was raised by this shallow man to congress?
