Frank to hold House Field Hearing on mortgage crisis in Stockton on Saturday

STOCKTON - Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank will lead a field hearing here Saturday on federal, state and local governmental efforts to address the ongoing home mortgage crisis.

Frank will be joined by Congressmen Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) Dennis Cardoza (D-Modesto) and Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo) in addition to state Sen. Mike Machado (D-Stockton) and Merced Mayor Ellie Wooten and others.

The noon event will be held at the Stockton Arena, 248 W. Fremont St. in Stockton.

Frank is chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services.
