Mike Feuer for L.A. City Attorney?

Los Angeles City Hall is buzzing with word that lobbyists throughout the City have received calls from Assemblyman and former 5th District Councilman Mike Feuer that he is seriously considering another run for City Attorney.

For those with short memories, Feuer lost the City Attorney’s race to unknown Rocky Delgadillo. Some blame the loss on Feuer’s arrogance (you can always tell a Harvard man – you just can’t tell him anything) while others blame the failure of his consultant to strike a deal with powerful Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ to appear on her slate card.  Whatever the reason, Rocky won and became the worst City attorney since…(Wally’s memory isn’t what it used to be and can’t remember a worse CA).

Koretz pressing forward with early L.A. city council 5th district run

Former Assemblyman Paul Koretz is walking precincts and canvassing neighborhood street fairs rather early for the Los Angeles City Council seat he hopes to win next spring.

Jack Weiss: Spitzer-like arrogance

There is only one certainty in Los Angeles City politics today, and that is that no one likes Councilman Jack Weiss. The former Assistant U.S. Attorney with the Eliot Spitzer-like arrogance -- though without the height, money or hooker issues -- is regularly denounced (in-private) as the most-unlikable politician in the region.  Yet, his campaign to become City Attorney in next spring’s election appears almost an anointment as credible candidates decide not to challenge him.
