Shriver for Governor?

EdgeFirst Lady Maria Shriver played to a national audience tonight with an appearance on American Idol, where, flanked by a hundred volunteers, she plugged her grass roots community service and volunteerism program. With all the talk about Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsom and Antonio Villaraigosa running for Governor in 2010, you have to wonder whether Democrats would be better off just nominating Shriver.
